The International Conference of the representatives of Military Chaplaincy

In Netherlands, where the Dutch military chaplaincy celebrate a jubilee year 100 years anniversary of his formation, was held in days from 2nd to 6th February 2015 International Military Chief of Chaplains Conference (IMCCC). The conference was held at the historic naval port in the heart of Amsterdam, within walking distance from its beautiful canals, shopping streets and museums.
The conference theme was: „Chaplaincy, pluralism in a changing society. In what ways can we provide the best pastoral care and support possible? And more specifically, in today’s religiously diverse military?“ Were present in total over 100 representatives.

Of the Slovak side was attended at the conference General Spiritual of the Ecumenical Pastoral Service in Armed Forces and Military of Slovak Republic pplk. Marian Bodolló together with dean - director of the Office por. Dávid Vargaeštok. Beside the lectures from the conference they were acquainted with the structure of the dutch military chaplaincy, which is led by six general spirituals by religion – roman-catholic, protestant, humanist, muslim, jewish and hindu. The important moment of this year meeting was conference call with the General Breedlove - Supreme Allied Commander SHAPE. He appreciated the spiritual service in Armed Forces and also he expressed the support for her next activity. He also answered on a lot of questions from auditorium. For the next year the International Military Chief of Chaplains Conference will be held in Slovenia.
