Castle Branč and Day the 5th of July are for many years connected. For many, those facts means possibility to meet with brothers and sisters from Western District ECAC at Worship and contemplate on the spiritual message connected with this place.
This year, we remembered on Jan Hus and 600th anniversary of his Martyr´s death. Senior of east Moravian seniorate of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren Peter Pivoňka used in his sermon truly Hus words, he used Hus thoughts of sermon about Good Shepherd ( John 10:11-16). Our thank to the God was also for apostle Cyril and Methodius. We also remembered martyrs, whose were imprisoned on castle and were sent on galleys. Traditionally, also children had their own space for celebration of God – they had Sunday School.
We believe, that not only direct participants on Worship, but also those, who listened Worship on radio could scoop up new strength for life. Lord, our God, also today invites everyone from us, to be His disciples, witnesses of His saving truth, defending truth and loving truth. This kind of life style requires a lot of energy and humbleness. May Lord, our God, empower us by His Holy Spirit.
