On Saturday, 30th of July 2011 the ordianation of new vicars of ECAC was carried out in the evangelical church in Puchov. Live broadcast of the service could be seen on the slovak television STV 2.
Local pastor Ondrej Rišiaň started the event with words of welcome and was later on followed by General bishop Miloš Klátik who spoke to the Bibeltext Mt 16,24: Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Putting emphasis on the fact that everyone has a cross to bear and everyone decides to follow Jesus on their own free will.
The ordination itself was lead by the bishop of eastern district Slavomir Sabol. He told the newly ordained vicars that yhey should be aware of the fact that now they have taken a particular work and that this service has been carried out by many before and is passed on to us from God.
We would like to wish all of the newly ordained strength to stay true to the teachings and the service. Hard and exhausting tasks do not belong only to the newly ordained but to us all.
