8th districtual pastoral conference in Nový Smokovec was dedicated to media and use of the media in the church. The conference was opened by bishop of the Eastern district – Slavomir Sabol, who mentioned the crucial part of media in spreading of the evangel. He also stressed that if media is to help the church, it also needs to bring peace into its life and bring people closer together.
H. Hennelova from the Ceter for christian education in Martin introduced possibilities that are offered by various media.
Guest speaker from Czech Republic – J. Kratka – editor of TV NOE and Radio Proglas in Czech Republic talked about media as a way of communication with the secular world.
