At the invitation of the Archbishop of Bratislava – Metropolita and Chairman of the Slovak Bishop´s (Roman-catholic) Conference, Stanislav Zvolenský was held in the order 7th meeting of the highest representatives of Christian churches, the date May 12, 2016.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31). 11th Assembly of the Evangelical Women Fellowship was led according the Bible text from the Acts, on the day Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Kremnica. At the Assembly were participated more than 350 women and a few of men from the whole Slovakia. All seniorates were represented.
In the days 19th to 20th of April, 2016 visited four-member delegation, under the leading by doc. Ľubomír Batka, Dr.theol., Dean of the Evangelical Faculty of Theology, Comenius University in Bratislava, partner Theological University Evangélikus Hittudományi Egyetem in Budapest. The members of the delegation were: prof. ThDr. Juraj Bándy, Assistant Dean Mgr. Milan Jurík, PhD., and Mgr. Erika Valková-Krišťáková, PhD.
On Monday, April 18th 2016, was held the General Pastoral Conference ECAC in Slovakia in space of Theatre J.G.Tajovský in Zvolen. This year the General Pastoral Conference were attended more than 150 priests of the ECAC in Slovakia. The opening devotions had a Chairman of the Association of the Evangelical Priests – Daniel Midriak.
On the invitation from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in India, General Bishop of the ECAC in Slovakia Miloš Klátik, and member of LWF Council, performed his business trip to India, since 7th up to 12th March 2016.
The Nation´s Memory Institute organized meeting with church historians, to the documentation persecution of the Churches during communism era in Slovakia, on April 13, 2016 at Žilina. At the seminar were attended representatives of the active Christian Churches in Slovakia. To the participants also spoke general bishop Miloš Klátik.
The project „500 trees of the Reformation in the ECAC in Slovakia“ join Slovak evangelical members all over the world. The Tree of the Reformation already have Slovak members living in Serbia and Croatia and on the 6th Sunday „Palmarum“ Palm Sunday, 20th March 2016 was planted Tree of the Reformation in far Australia.
After New Year´s acceptance the representatives of the Churches and state registered religious communities by President, in the Prezident Palace in Bratislava, 14th January 2016, was held meeting of some representatives Churches at the General Bishop´s Office.
General Bishop of the ECAC in Slovakia Miloš Klátik attended at the traditional New Year´s Meeting, where were accepted representatives of Churches and registered religion communities by the President in the President Palace in Bratislava.
The Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia organized for last four years the whole-church missionary events with the name Evangelical Church Days. It was organized at these cities Bratislava (2008), Žilina (2010), Lučenec (2012) and Spišská Nová Ves (2014). In 2016, this event will be held outside the territory of Slovakia. It will take place in Békéscsaba, Hungary, since the 6th to 8th July 2016.
On 7th January 2016, General Bishop Miloš Klátik attended at the ceremony, where the President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska awarded the highest state honors 15 personalities of the country, personalities of cultural, scientific and social life, by the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of national Day of the Establishing of the Slovak Republic.
On Wednesday, the 16th December 2015, was held academic worship service, the last one service in the school semester 2015/2016, at the space of the hall Evangelical Lutheran Theological Faculty of the Comenius University in Bratislava. The service was connected with International day of Students and was connected with submitting the scholarship for the best students 2nd to 5th year of study, study program Evangelical Theology. Scholarships are granted from the Fund of Samuel and Žofia Peressény.
In the conference room, at the Bishop´s Office of Western District ECAC in Slovakia in Zvolen was a meeting, where were gathered Board of Bishops of the ECAC in Slovakia with seniors (male and female) from all seniorates (14 seniorates), on Monday 24th November 2015.
More than 30 participants from nine countries met in the capital of Switzerland as guests of the three local schools with a Protestant tradition: Freies Gymnasium Bern, NMS and Campus Muristalden.
General Bishop Miloš Klátik accepted at General Bishop´s Office General Director of the Radio and Television of Slovakia – Václav Mika and directors of section of program services – Tibor Búza and Vincent Štofaník.
General Bishop Miloš Klátik welcomed at General Bishop´s Office parliamentary chairman of Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini, 25th November 2015. The visit of parliamentary chairman was held in connection with 200th anniversary of birth J. M. Hurbana, which will be celebrated in 2017. Pellegrini expressed of questions regarding to financial separation from State and of effect of the church in society.
General Bishop Miloš Klátik accepted the 25th of October 2015 at General Bishop´s Office extraordinary and commissioner Hungary Ambassador in Slovakia Éva Czimbalmosné Molnár.
President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska had a meeting at the General Bishop´s Office in Bratislava with the General Bishop of the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession (ECAC) in Slovakia Miloš Klátik, 12th November 2015.
In Budapest was held another(in order 3th) meeting of Preparatory Committee of 10th Middle and Eastern Europe Christians´Meeting, which will be in Budapest since 7th to 10th July 2016.
On Saturday 24th October 2015 was held regularly missionary conference in Veľký Slavkov. The Conference prepared Committee of Mission ECAC in Slovakia. It came 20 missionary workers. General Bishop Miloš Klátik was also present at the Conference and also District Bishops Slavomír Sabol and Milan Krivda.
The 200th anniversary of birth of important Slovak political, cultural and revivalist activist Ľudovít Štúr (1815-1856) was celebrated on October 24-25 in his hometown of Uhrovec (Trenčín Region), as a culmination of year-long festivities, exhibitions and events commemorating him. On Sunday, October 25, was held solemn Worship service and was broadcast live on Slovak television.
On Monday, October 26, 2015 General Bishop Miloš Klátik welcomed and accepted at General Bishop´s Office in Bratislava new Area program Director in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Global Mission Unit the Rev. Cindy Halmarson.
In diaconal hotel, in the city Herrenberg, near Stuttgart, were held Study Days of Three-church-partnership 2015, in days the 24th to 26th of September 2015. The theme of days sounded: „Between exploitation and righteousness“.
Within the Luther´s Decade – preparation for 500th anniversary of Reformation – General Bishop´s Office in cooperation with partner church in the Middle Germany (Evangelische Kirche in Mitteldeutschland, EKM) organized tour through the cities connected with our Reformer Martin Luther, in days the 1st to 6th September 2015.
General Bishop Miloš Klátik was attended the Conference on freedom of religion or belief, which was organised by Conference of European Churches (CEC), from 7th to 9th September 2015.
