General Bishop Miloš Klátik in India

On the invitation from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in India, General Bishop of the ECAC in Slovakia Miloš Klátik, and member of LWF Council, performed his business trip to India, since 7th up to 12th March 2016.
The aim of the visit was meeting with leading representatives of the Church, evangelical schools, visit of the Theological Faculty, meeting with representatives of other Churches in India and NGO in India. Bishop Klátik also handed support over of the Lutheran World Federation to people in needs.

General Bishop Klátik was welcomed by the Bishop Frederick Paradesi Babu and other leading representatives of the Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church on the field of Bishop Office. Both of Bishops spoke about their Churches, introduced their activities and also current situation. General Bishop handed support of the LWF to poorest families and sick children. He was attended also on the whole-church gathering of women, he served by the sermon of God. Together with bishop Babu visited evangelical school in the region, a school with the highest reputation, and also boarding single-sex (girls) evangelical school, where students get basic knowledge and make improvements in handwork skills.

General Bishop Klátik visited Evangelical Theological Faculty in Chennai. He met with members of academic staff, with members of individual departments. He saw faculty space, lecture halls, library and dormitory, and he had a short discussion with students. Former Bishop, Bishop Emeritus, prof. Busi Suneel Bhanu, member of the Council LWF and teacher at the Theological faculty, accompanied Bishop Klátik at the faculty and also during his all stay in India.
