Support the persecuted Christians

Over hundred people were gathered before the President Palace on the Hodžovo Square in Bratislava to support persecuted Christians and other religious minority in the world.
Gathering was the reaction on the increase of the bloody violence of the radical Islamists, whose burn the churches, persecute and as a general rule - cutting the head executed a Christians. Mostly on the area occupied by the organization Islamic state (IS) on the border with Iraq, Syria and also Libya.

Organizers before Gathering through the media and also social networks urged the participants to brought a candle and wearing orange t-shirt, jacket or waistcoat to express the solidarity with religion brutal persecuted people on the world. On Gathering got off civil activists, members of the European Parliament and National Council of the Slovak Republic, diplomats and also direct participant of a war suffering Near East. They appealed Slovak, European and World leaders to provide a help, intensively and fair effort to stop the violence and murder particularly in Islamic state. The call was heard approximately thousand participants.

According to a study of the Organization – Aid to the Church in Need, which last Autumn published a report assessing 196 countries according to the religious freedom as the worst countries were evaluated Afghanistan, Central African Republic, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Maldives, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Yemen.

In those countries threaten religious persecution mostly in connection with extremist Islam. The most persecuted religious group are Christians.
