The General Bishop’s Office has been visited by the chairman of Slovak Institute in Toronto – Ondrej Mihal. He has presented his new book “Spiritual Life of Slovaks in Canada”.
The presentation was attended by many people including charge d'affairs Kathy Bunka from the Canadian embassy in Slovakia who emphasized that not every nation has a persona like Mr. Mihal – who passionately managed to collect incredible amount of documents about his ancestors – Slovaks in Canada and on top of it all, he managed to present all of this in his book.
Afterwards, PhDr. Ľubica Bartalská introduced the author in detail. The review of his book was given by PhDr. Mojmir Benza, PhD of the Ethnology Department of Slovak Academy of Sciences. The author himself continued in the presentation by showing videofootage in order to present interesting facts about Slovaks in Canada from past and present as well.
