Scientific Conference Ľudovít Štúr and his period

On Wednesday 5th November 2014 was held scientific-historical conference in Evangelical Lutheran Theological Faculty Comenius University in Bratislava on the theme Ľudovít Štúr and his period, acquisition for church and nation. Lectures will be published in scientific conference proceeding with the same name on the end of the year 2014.

The conference was prepared by Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia with cooperation with Evangelical Lutheran Theological Faculty Comenius University (EBF UK) in Bratislava on the occasion of the forthcoming 200th birth anniversary Ľudovít Štúr. On the conference was attended more then 150 participants from among experts, pedagogues and students from EBF UK, and another evangelical high schools in Slovakia, and also people from several church congregations. On the academic Worship of God was preaching general Bishop Miloš Klátik, liturgy had student´s spiritual Anna Balogová and student Daniela Stehlíková.

The conference was opened and also moderated by general bishop doc. PhDr. Miloš Klátik, PhD. Of the state sector was spoke director of Church department of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic JUDr. Ján Juran. He expressed the appreciation that Evangelical Church A.C. in Slovakia organized conference which was dedicated to Ľudovít Štúr – Lutheran, significant personalities and Slovak national revivalist. Participants was also greeted by ThLic. PaedDr. Ing. Mária Paráková, Head of Department privat and church schools on The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

Teachers and PhD.students EBF UK contributed lectures to conference. Doc. PhDr. Miloš Klátik, PhD. gave a lecture on the topic – Personality of the Ľudovít Štúr in the context of Luther's doctrine about Two Kingdoms; doc. ThDr. Peter Gažík – Štúr´s religious thought; Mgr. Radim Pačmár spoke about influence Štúr family on the formation evangelical church in Kingdom of Hungary in the 19th century; Mgr. Michaela Poschová compare the attitude Ľ. Štúr and L. Kuzmány to Vienna and the routing evangelical church after 1848; Mgr. Radoslav Hanus, PhD. noted the ideas of Slavs in national political thought Ľudovít Štúr.
Another lectures were by specialists from other slovak universities. Prof. DhDr. Jozef Leikert, PhD. was focused on journalism of Ľudovít Štúr; doc. PhDr. Eva Tkáčiková, CSc., and prof. PhDr. Dalimír Hajko, DrSc. toke notice of poems Ľudovíta Štúra and his influence on the young generations slovak poets – romantics. Prof. PhDr. Jaroslav Čukan, CSc., spoke about relationships between Štúr and his followers and Slovaks living in Serbia, Hungary, Romania., and about rich activities slovak evangelical pastors between these people living in Serbia, Romania, Hungary. In the conference proceeding will be publishing also lecture prof. PhDr. Dr. h. c. Jána Findru, DrSc. about Štúr and dynamics of development standard language and also lecture dean of Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Prešov prof. ThDr. Ján Šafín, PhD., entitled Ľudovít Štúr and orthodoxy.
In a fruitful discussion exited prof. Ľubomír Ďurovič, who worked at the world-famous swedish university in Uppsala and Lund. He said that the basis of codification Štúr standard language was a language of inteligent people in Liptovský Mikuláš and language of Liptov squire.

The conference was held with the financial support of Prime Minister of the Government of the Slovak Republic. The conference proceeding will be publishing on the end of the year 2014 entitled Ľudovít Štúr and his period; acquisition for church and nation. Conference proceedings will be available in early 2015 which to be declared the Year of Ľudovít Štúr.
