President of Slovak Republic awarded 15 personalities

On 7th January 2016, General Bishop Miloš Klátik attended at the ceremony, where the President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska awarded the highest state honors 15 personalities of the country, personalities of cultural, scientific and social life, by the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of national Day of the Establishing of the Slovak Republic.
In his speech he pointed out the meaning of awarded to demonstrate their courage in hard times and meaning of social responsibilities. „Happy is the one who have a wealthy meaning of life, happy is the one, who have the ability by honest effort at least partly realize his ideals. It's an honor for me in a little while on behalf of the Slovak Republic to award 15 women and men who with their work and honest effort pursued their ideals and dreams. They lived and worked so, that they helped to make our world better, more beautiful, smarter and more humane. And who did and do an honor to their country at home and abroad.We award 15 women and men. We can find a lot of personal bravery and good personal decisions in their stories. Professional mastery, applied talent, behind which there is also a huge amount of everyday dutiful tenacious tireless work.“

President of the Slovak Republic this time awarded the personalities from fields as law, sport, education and health service. Among the award winners was the principal of Evangelical Lutheran High School in Tisovec Helena Pašiaková. She has got A Medal of Slovak President for many years of the significant achievements in education, upbringing and education. Another awarded members of the ECAC was hockey player Michal Handzuš.
