Our ECAC in Slovakia visited a precious guests from our partner Evangelical Church in Central Germany (EKM), in days the 23rd to 27th of May, 2015. Part of the delegation were brothers District Bishops Diethard Kamm and Reinhard Werneburg and personal secretary of Bishop Kamm Ulrich Kiethe.
On Sunday, Pentecost, guests together with General Bishop Miloš Klátik visited church congregation Bratislava-Petržalka. On Sunday´s service guests welcomed and introduced General Bishop, who at the same time greeted his former believers. (General Bishop Klátik was a pastor in congregation Bratislava-Petržalka). The sermon had Bishop Emeritus Reinhard Werneburg. Until that time Bishop Werneburg was responsible for the partner cooperation their church with our ECAC in Slovakia. On the service he symbolically passed that position to new elected Bishop Diethard Kamm. Bishop Kamm is also representative of the EKM Bishop Ilse Junkermann. Their handed over a check in the amount of 5 000,-€ for Associated Boarding School for deaf and blind children in Červenica.
In the next days guests visited church congregations ECAC - Banská Štiavnica, Gemerská Poloma, Nižná Slaná – Kobeliarovo, Spišská Nová Ves, Poprad-Veľká, Vysoké Tatry, Švábovce and Veľký Folkmar. In those church congregations they saw projects, which were supported by their church and in discussion with local members of congregation they recognized life and work diaspore church congregations. On 2nd day of Pentecost, at the service in Gemerská Poloma had a sermon District Bishop Diethard Kamm.
On Wednesday, the 27th of May, Bishops of EKM were received Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Slovakia Mr. Lorenzo Barth. Their visit was ended at the General Bishop´s Office of the ECAC in Slovakia in discussion with General Bishop Miloš Klátik.
