Preassembly of LWF will take place in Bratislava

Preassembly of Lutheran World Federation for Europe will be held on 13 - 17 March 2010 in Bratislava co-organized by Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession in Slovakia.
Lutheran World Federation in Geneva brings together 140 national, Evangelical-Lutheran, churches – which is about 68.9 million believers. This organization brings tohether churches, which follow the teachings of Martin Luther. Usually, the General Assembly of LWF takes place every six years (the last one was in Winnipeg in the year 2003) along with various other meetings throughout the period, involving delegates from all Lutheran churches along with their highest church officials.

Materials to LWF preassembly can be downloaded at www.lwf-assembly.org/ or simply by clicking on the LWF logo on our web-site.

Before any general assembly is held, preassemblies for different regions take place. LWF preassembly for Europe will be, for the first time in history, held in Bratislava. It is a great honor for our church, and also great responsibility.
