LWF Meeting of Council in Wittenberg

Lutheran World Federation Meeting of Council took place in Wittenberg in 6th October 2014. Our general Bishop Miloš Klátik participated in this meeting as a full member.
On discussion was included 10 theme, reports and informations to the next develop and work LWF Council. The Council agreed with the proposal of University in Jena, which wants to get one more theologian, which comes from countries on the south of the Equator and will be operated a certain time in Germany. The Council also confirmed the nomination a new representatives. University in Jena nominated on the LWF Council prof. Dr. Karla-Wilhelma Niebuhra. Associated mission in Wuppertal represented Dr. Ipyana Mwamugobole. Partners have evaluated the seminars, which was held in 2013 and 2014. The pleasure is, that on the seminars could took place not just partners from the Europe, but also from Latin Amerika, Africa and Australia.

On the end representatives of partner churches informed about the course of Luther´s decade and another events in preparation to anniversary 500. years of Reformation. General Bishop Miloš Klátik spoke about the project sow 500 trees of Reformation, which a few years run in our church. The trees of Reformation are typeset close to churches, parsonages, schools and Diaconal centers.
