Communication of the Gospel in secular society

In spaces of Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren was held conference of lutherans working group for Confessiology in Europe, the 7th to 10th of May 2015. ECAC in Slovakia represented General Bishop Miloš Klátik on invitation by organizer.
At the conference was 25 representatives from 14 protestant churches of 9 countries (germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Finland, France and Slovak Republic). The theme of the conference was: „Communication of the Gospel in secular society“.

Docent Tabita Landová, Department of Practical Theology, Charles university in Prague, served by main lecture in which she introduced the image of the modern society and ideology multiculturalism. Inability to illustrate, speak or experiencing community it marks many church congregations in secular environment. She distinguished several model of reaction of the churches: 1. insistence on traditional liturgical forms and church practice – catholics, orthodox and lutherans theologians; 2. evangelicalism, modern things as an antithesis to christian values, but also uses modern methods of the communication.

On the end of the conference delegates met together on the service in Church of St. Martin in the Wall. The liturgy served pastor Andres Pfeifer in german language, sermon served prof. Dr. Martin Fridrich. secretary of Community of Protestant Churches in Europe.
