On July 10, 2013 General Bishop of ECAC in Slovakia Miloš Klátik welcomed guests from Concordia University in Wisconsin, USA – Dr Patrick Ferry, the President of the University with his wife and Dr David Birner, the Director of International cooperation accompanied by David Fiala, the Project Coordinator for Central Europe.
The aim of their visit was to discuss the possibilities of cooperation of Concordia University with the Evangelical Theological Faculty of Comenius University, which they visited, too. They also wanted to know the General Bishop’s opinion about the further possibilities of cooperation. Concordia University in Wisconsin is affiliated with The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. It offers myriad opportunities for students to be involved in all aspects of Christian living, including Devotions, Daily Chapel Services, Sunday Worship and Bible Studies. The university with the campus is located in a beautiful surrounding by the Lake Michigan in Mequon, Wisconsin.
There are about 8000 students studying at this university. The graduate programmes are focused on sciences, business administration, education, health professions, nursing and pharmacy.
