Promotion of graduates of master's and bachelor's programs of the Evangelical Theological Faculty (ETF) Comenius University in Bratislava was held in the auditorium of the Comenius University in Bratislava on 3 July 2012. Studies of 31 graduates have been successfully completed, including also PhD students.
The Pastoral exams have been held at GBO in Bratislava nn 10 July 2012. Overall, nine graduates of the Evangelical Theological Faculty (ETF) of Comenius University, have successfully completed their master's degree in "Evangelical Theology" and applied to become pastors. All nine students passed the tests.
The Board of the ECAC in the Czech Republic - Superindentent Marián Čop and Jaromír Neuman - visited the city of Bratislava on 9 July 2012. They have signed the partnership agreement, which established a close cooperation of the ECAC in Slovakia with the ECAC in the Czech Republic, at the General Bishop’s office.
At the main stage during the festivities of 3rd Evangelical Church Days in Lucenec on 30th of June a premiere of oratorio about Cyril and Method could be seen by the visitors. The writer of this oratorio is poet and writer Daniel Havier and music has been composed by Lubomir Hornak. Interpretation of texts that were part of the video projection was carried out by Stefan Bucko. This ambitious project came to existance thanks to the financial support of Ministry of Culture.
On the weekend 16th and 17th of June in Hlboke, people gathered to celebrate 195th anniversary of J.M. Hurban’s birth.
The third conference of Slovaks living abroad began on 27th of June 2012 in the church of ECAC in Slovakia in Velky Krtis. The Novohrad seniorate was chosen as a meeting place for this event as most of the Slovaks who left their homeland come from this region.
The national part of the international contest Social Innovation Relay (SIR) has been won by a team from the Evangelical Gymnasium in Tisovec. Students have prepared a short film „Kick out the difference“ that dealt with migration and its influence on the society.
During the second week of June the vicars of our church met in Velky Slavkov. The aim of this meeting was to share experience they gained while serving in different congregations. The general bishop Klatik honored this meeting by his visit and lead a discussion in the afternoon.
After the previous negotiansions at the government office of Slovak republic on 15th of June 2012 general bishop Milos Klatik met archbishop of Bratislava, Stanislav Zvolensky at the General Bishop’s Office.
General Bishop Milos Klatik has taken part at a meeting at the government office of slovak republic at another meeting of the Committee for Solidarity and Development.
