The General Bishop Miloš Klátik led Sunday service in Zelené which commemorated 175th anniversary of its consecration. Among people present were also representatives of the city Poltár.
The small village Spanie Poles in Gemer had the honor to welcome visitors from Germany. Among the visitors were General Bishop Miloš Klátik with his wife, pastor John Christian Burmeister from Germany as well as former pastor Miroslav Synak.
More than 400 children and young people from three to eighteen years of age gathered on the occasion of beginning of the school year 2012/2013 on 3. of September for the service with communion in Church of the Holy Trinity in Prešov.
From 22 to 27 of July there was a camp for young people in Hont. There were guests present from the partner church in Freudenstadt, parish Klosterreichenbach. Hroboň family invited these youths to be German teachers for the young people but more importantly as friends to the participants from Hont who have decided to improve their German skills.
In the Evangelical Church In Michalovce on Saturday the 28eh of July the ordination ceremony of new vicars took place. It is a tradition that the ordination takes place in congregation where one of the pastors come from.
On Monday, the 3rd September, at 8:00 clock in the morning a new school year - 2012/2013 at the Evangelical Elementary School of Zlatica Oravcová in Rimavská Sobota began. Chaplain Viktória Lisáková welcomed everyone and began the service.
Luther's house on Palisady 46-48 in Bratislava, where the General Bishop’s office of the ECAC in Slovakia is situated aldon with the Evangelical Diakonia of ECAC, the Ecumenical Council of SR and other institutions, was built in 1932 - 80 years ago.
Music festival SEMFEST under the theme "On the way" in Záriečie became a temporary home for about thousand young people from our church.
General Bishop of the ECAC in Slovakia and Chairman of the Ecumenical Council of Churches Miloš Klátik along with the bishop of Eastern district, Slavomír Sabol, were present at funeral of the Archbishop of Presov, Slovakia, Ján Vladyka, the highest representative of Orthodox Church in Slovakia.
This year presents the16th Day of The Eastern District of the ECAC. It was held on 22 July 2012 at the Winter Stadium in Bardejov. The motto of this event was "Power of Hope" and there were about 3500 people from various areas of the district.
